Lutherans are committed to life-long learning. From baptism to the time of death, we are committed to growing in relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore learning opportunities are provided for people of all ages
Affirmation of Baptism/Confirmation Instruction
Because Lutherans baptize from infancy through adulthood, the rite of Confirmation or Affirmation of Baptism is a time when young people assume responsibility for their own faith. Instruction is a two-year program, which leads to full voting membership for our youth who fulfill the requirements and are approved by the Pastor and Church Council to be confirmed. Our 7th and 8th graders attend classes on Sunday morning during Sunday School hour. The Bible and Luther's Small Catechism are the basis for their study. 8th graders are encouraged to attend confirmation camp in June. The Rite of Confirmation is normally held on Reformation Sunday of the ninth grade year.
